Shark’s Teeth & Sea Shells

Psalm 104: 24-25 (ESV)

24 O Lord, how manifold are your works!
    In wisdom have you made them all;
    the earth is full of your creatures.
25 Here is the sea, great and wide,
    which teems with creatures innumerable,
    living things both small and great.

These are my shark’s teeth and sea shells. I can spend hours on the beach looking for them. You have to look really hard to find the shark’s teeth though, both in the jar and on the beach! I see God’s glory on the beach through His creation to great for words to describe. I used to only pick up the perfect shells; that’s kind of the way I was taught. But life has taught me brokenness and that God uses broken things and makes them whole again. In fact, we can only come to God through brokenness, both His and ours. So now I look for all kinds of shells and look for the beauty each one has to offer. Why? Because that’s what God does with us!
