Romans 12:4-8 (ESV)
4 For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; 8 the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
I am not one of those people who think outside the box, but I am so thankful for those around me who do think this way. Where I am weak, they are strong. I am proud to be a part of the body of Christ known as Hillside Missions and World Horizons because we work together as family to accomplish big goals! Today, the Hila Sewing Project moved to a new building donated by First Baptist Church Richmond. We are so grateful for this space and for the community partners such as ReEstablish Richmond and the International Rescue Committee who have partnered with us to assist refugee women and their families. The ladies are excited to be in the new building and are looking forward to learning skills that will help them be better prepared for jobs sewing in the workplace. Next month we are looking forward to having some of the ladies teach us how to cook Afghan food, where we will have a night of food and family fellowship!
